I'm hearing an echo in the call, or getting feedback

An echo is usually caused when the sounds from your speakers get re-transmitted down the microphone.

Options to cure include:

  • Using headphones and a separate microphone
  • Turning down the sound on the speakers
  • Using an echo-cancelling microphone.

Where two people on different devices in the same room want to participate in a meeting, we recommend the use of headphones to isolate the sound.

Generally the user that cannot hear the echo is the cause of the noise.
